Passion is a strong emotion that is beyond control. It connects you to your soul. When you work for things which you are passionate about, it helps you to become happy, focused and give your complete self to it.
You must be wondering, do all people who follow their passion; succeed?
No, many don’t, because being passionate about a work doesn’t give success unless you apply a practical strategy to achieve success.
If you follow your passion but don’t have a strategy, chances are it will be a failure. Your passion should be in a manner that it loves you back. When it loves you back it will help you to remain motivated in your passion. This love can be in the form of appreciation or money or fame.
Steps to follow your passion.
1) Make a list of all things you love doing. These must be things which you can do on and on. Things which don't make you bored doing it. This work should also be something that you could do outside of your comfort zone.
2) Pick the ones which you feel are your core strengths.
3) Find out what potential value you can add to it and how people can find motivation in your passion.
4) Do a market research on what is the trend? Follow your competitors and know your customers. You need to plan your launch by having an expertise in the product and customer knowledge.
5) Plan your resources. Sometimes following your passion needs ample amount of time and resources. Find out what you need for pursuing your passion and how much of that you have in hand. Lack of time and insufficient funds can ruin your plans of following your passion. Curb down your unnecessary spending. Cut off TV and things that distract your attention. Start saving money. Having enough money will help you in making decisions without any anxiety.
6) Turn to your family and friends. Sometimes you might not know what is your true strength and weakness. Ask them to highlight them. Then you can work on overcoming your weakness as well as focus more on your strength.
Your success depends on the value you give to people and how much they like it. People won’t care what you do unless they have something for them in it. The more the value they get from it, the more you will get success in doing it.
So follow a passion which you are good at and which has value for people too. But what should you do if there is something which you can’t live without and doesn't pay you well? Should you continue doing it? Yes, if you think money is not what you are looking for, it is the satisfaction of the work that concerns you more.
When you live with an aim to achieve something, you will be much more focused and will enjoy living it. Following your passion won't be easy, but it will give you satisfaction and would be worthy of all the hard work.
Follow your passion and stay focused on your targets.

I have a great passion for composing music, doing oil paintings and writing good stories, but no strategy. Which is why my music remains in my heart, paintings on my walls (not counting the ones that are gathering dust in my basement) and my books decorate my book-shelves, waiting for someone to read.
